Pyrola minor is a species of perennial flowering plants of the genus Pyrola of the Ericaceae family.
In nature, the species range covers the arctic and temperate regions of Eurasia and North America.

It grows in shady forests of different composition, more often in dark coniferous and coniferous-small-leaved, on soils from medium dry to moist, prefers acidic soils.
A perennial plant with a long, branched rhizome at the nodes, dotted with numerous adventitious roots, and with a finely ribbed stem 12-30 cm high, sometimes somewhat twisted.

The leaves are collected at the base of the stems, ovate, broadly elliptical, less often round or rounded-oval, along the edge barely noticeable obtuse crenate-serrate, harsh; leaf blade 2.5-6 cm long, 1-5 cm wide, slightly longer or almost equal to the petiole, sometimes shorter than it. Higher on the stem there are 1-2 narrow, linear, pointed, scaly, brownish leaves.

USDA Hardiness Zone (°F): 3 (-40 to -30 °F)
