Harrimanella hypnoides, also known as moss bell heather, is a plant in the family Ericaceae. Sometimes it's also called Cassiope hypnoides but Harrimanella hypnoides is the accepted name at ITIS. It is the sole species in the genus Harrimanella.
Inhabits the tundra zone and mountain-tundra zone in the Northern part of the forest zone from Scandinavia to the Urals, inclusive. In nature it occurs sporadically in the zonal and mountain tundras, stony places along streams, in places with late snow melt.
Perennial evergreen creeping shrub with rooting branches, rising to a height of 2-5 cm , with small needle-like leaves and single white bell-shaped flowers. Not a flowering plant similar in appearance to a small moss. Blooms in late June, in July.
