Leaves are elliptic or less often oblong-elliptic, 1.5-4 times longer than their width, from 5 to 70 mm long, 3-15 mm wide, truncated or somewhat narrowed at the base, broadly wedge-shaped, occasionally very weakly heart-shaped, incised city-toothed, not shiny above, with depressed middle and side veins, slightly wrinkled, hairy only along the middle vein, sometimes scattered-hairy over the entire surface, below grayish-felt, with a prominent middle vein, not covered with felt and dotted in two rows with brownish branched hairs, with side veins barely prominent, not often hidden or almost completely hidden by the felt, sometimes, with a few branched hairs, each side with 5-10 tangy, at outer margin often revolute teeth.
Petioles of equal length with blades or twice as long, sometimes a little shorter, thick or covered with scattered simple white hairs, usually with an admixture of branched, greenish or brownish hairs;
Stipules are long, fringed with white simple hairs;
Flower arrows during flowering 1.5-7 cm long, with fruits 8.5 (10) cm long, whitish, almost the entire length with scattered, long, black-red glandular hairs and white felt;
Sepals linear-lanceolate or linear, 0.5-1 cm long, 1.5-2.5 mm wide, blunt or slightly pointed, sparsely felt and glandular in the upper half, or almost without glandular, green, pubescent with white spaced hairs on the edges, glabrous inside or hairy at the top;
The petals are elliptical or inversely ovate, more often 1.5 times longer than the calyx, 0.7-1.6 mm long and 4.5-8 mm wide, glabrous or sometimes slightly hairy below the middle vein;
Achenes 3.5-4 mm long, with awn 1.6-3.2 cm long.
Blooms in June and August.
It grows in Alpine meadows and gravelly placers.
