Perennial herbaceous bulbous plant. Stems 20-35 cm tall. In the upper half bear one whorl of 2-5 lanceolate leaves up to 8 cm long and 5-15 mm wide, above the whorls - another short sheet. The flower is single, bell-shaped, drooping. Perianth about 4 cm long. and 10-13 mm wide., brown-violet outside, mottled inside, yellowish-violet. The bulb is round, consists of small scales.
The most abundant in the subalpine, less often in the upper forest and occasionally in the alpine zones. It lives on subalpine and forest meadows, on wet meadow slopes, in sparse forests, mainly in the strip of cedar taiga. More common in single copies. It blooms from mid-June to the second half of July. Propagated by seeds, seeds ripen in August.
Distribution: Western Sayan, Tuva, Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia, as well as in the Chita region on Mount Sokhondo.
A rare and vulnerable species. Endemic of the mountains of southern Siberia.
