Adenophora bulleyana is a straight perennial 120 cm high and 30 cm wide. Leaves are alternate, lanceolate, dentate, stem, up to 8 cm long. Spike-shaped racemes bear oblique, narrowed-funnel-shaped, light to medium blue flowers 1 cm long, often in groups of 3. The flowers are bell-shaped, usually small, but numerous, collected in paniculate inflorescences.
